U.S. Open Squeegee Machines

I was just watching one of the reporters interview the Director of Public Relations about the squeegee machines at the U.S. Open. Yes, you heard me correctly, the squeegee machines. (They resemble zambonis.) Granted it's wet in NY there and they're trying to dry up the court so they can resume matches.

Squeegee machines. ::sigh::

ADDENDUM: It just got more inane. They're holding a contest to name the machines. My favorite so far is "Aqua-tilova." Also, they are replaying last night's match between Serena Williams and Jennifer Capriati. (i.e. I'm not just watching the aqua-tilovas do their thing.) Capriati won, 2-6 6-4 6-4. [11:56 AM]
