As I was poking around, I came across an old h2g2 series of posts (only 6 of them) that I wrote in January-February 2000 while I was studying abroad in England. Only two of them have any meat to them but it's interesting to see something I wrote over 6 years ago, and to remember where I was and what my world was like back then.
Then I get rather maudlin and think how much things have changed, and yet how some things (a few) are still very similar. Then I stop any further thinking down that line because it is mired in the past and not very fruitful at this time. Plus it's rather depressing.
